Imperial Enterprise – February Newsletter

Join us on campus this spring to meet our community of world-class innovators

As a reader of this newsletter, you’ll be familiar with many of the ways that the Imperial is using science to shape society for the better. But to fully experience the vitality, scope, and transformational potential of our innovative community, nothing beats meeting staff and students personally at our on-campus events.

At All You Can Innovate 2024 in March, professionals in the life sciences, med tech and investment industries will have the chance to take part in a series of 1:1 corporate speed dates with academics and researchers, gain rapid knowledge about their research, and identify opportunities for collaborative translation and commercialisation.

In April, you are invited to the Grand Final of the Venture Catalyst Challenge 2024, our flagship competition for Imperial's world-class student entrepreneurs. Past participants in the Challenge include bioplastics company Notpla, water treatment company Puraffinity, and many others that like them have gone on to receive major investment and commercial success. You could be among the first to hear about the next big success story.

These events are an opportunity not only to learn about our innovations but to support us by providing expert insights from your sector that will help shape the development of our businesses and technologies – this is something we are hugely grateful for.

I hope to see you soon and look forward to talking with you in person. As always, please pass this on to colleagues who may also be interested.

Best wishes,

Dr Simon Hepworth

Director of Enterprise
